Linda Chaé has dedicated over thirty-five years of her life to the development of organic, chemical-free personal care, skin care, baby, household and pet products.

As one of the country's most innovative skincare formulators, she has conducted her own research while disproving other cosmetic companies’ assertions that their products carry only trace amounts of chemicals.

Company officials state that all Chae Organics products carry the "Certified ToxicFree seal - an indication that the products have been reviewed by an independent third party and confirmed to be free from carcinogenic, neurotoxic, hormone disruptors or other harmful synthetic ingredients.

Claims like dermatologist-tested, natural, or organic cannot always be trusted. Read the ingredient label and avoid products with ingredients listed here.

A Promise to a Dying Friend

Early in Linda’s career while she was running her esthetic studios, one of her skin care clients was dying of cancer. Linda suspected that the hormone disruptors in cosmetic products were a possible contributor to the cause.

At the woman’s funeral service, she made a silent promise to find a way to banish toxic chemicals from her products. She went a step further and vowed to produce them in a way that could contribute to a customer’s health rather than take away from it.

California Safe Cosmetic Act

According to the company website, Linda met with Congressional Leaders and Health Committee Members in Washington D.C. as a champion for Right to Know legislation on behalf of consumers. This work culminated in Senate Bill 484 California’s Safe Cosmetic Act, passed in January of 2007.

Video Tour of Cosmetic Lab

A virtual tour shows:

  • The holding area where incoming product ingredients are tested, approved only after the assurance that they were properly grown, extracted and shipped under safe conditions.

  • Manufacturing, where distilled water is the main ingredient and must be free of bacteria and chlorine to insure a final high quality cosmetic product. Tanks must maintain accurate heating temperatures.

  • The testing lab stability oven assures that products maintain a shelf life for two years and meet and exceed requirements of the California Safe Cosmetics Act.

Community Appearances

In April, 2008, Chae Organics was honored to participate with the National Geographic Society in the filming of an Earth Day special in Los Angeles.

That same year, Linda Chae spoke in Long Beach, CA to the Green Summit during the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa, about the importance of using clean products.
